Rich Humbert has been practicing astrology for over 35 years. He is an accredited instructor with Aquarius Workshops in Los Angeles. He first encountered metaphysical ideas while stationed at Camp Pendleton in 1962. While browsing the Oceanside public library's unusually large collection of occult books, Annie Besant's writing flipped on his spiritual switch. After a brief flirtation with music in the late 60's, he taught himself how to cast a horoscope and started the life-long process of learning astrology.

He began his meditative work at the same time taking a mantra from Swami Satchidananda. He studied and then taught yoga under the auspices of the Integral Yoga Institute while living in their ashram. He taught yoga classes at Lorton Prison as well as at more liberated settings.

Fate brought him employment at the American Federation of Astrologers headquarters in Washington, D.C. in the early 1970's. Their vast library and the steady flow of major astrologers of the day was a priceless learning resource. He was extremely fortunate to study several years with the late Barbara Watters, the foremost political astrologer of that time.

Celestial Weather began in the late 1970's as a weekly radio spot on WHFS-FM in Washington D. C. His practice at that time included clients across the country and across the socio-economic spectrum.

He withdrew from active astrology practice in 1978 to concentrate on the material plane (no earth in his chart) by starting a computer-consulting firm. His study of astrology and meditative work continued privately.

After moving to Los Angeles in 1995, he resumed active work in astrology and soon began study with Marion March, celebrated author, founder of the UAC conferences and Aquarius Workshops. He revived Celestial Weather in the summer of 1998 as a web site and free subscribed weekly mailing. Since then Celestial Weather has grown to a mailing list of almost 2000 subscribed readers .

In 1999 he resumed teaching astrology by co-teaching a series of master classes with Marion March until the time of her death in 2001. He developed his own "Turning Points" classes in predictive methods for advanced students.

He continues to lecture, teach and consult with individuals and businesses internationally.

He was born January 22nd, 1943 at 8:34am in New York City

Luana --- "Rich....just dandy writeups every week, but this week in particular is extraordinary....sometimes I get lost in them, not being astrologically literate, but this week's words connected....I pass on specific items for specific persons, or sometimes your link to others.....I know they get passed on from there to who knows where...replies usually have mucho appreciation, which I pass on to you today…"

Quantum77 --- "Just wanted to say thank you for everything. sorry to say I have neglected in telling you how much your information has soothed a savage beast in many of my readers on the QUANTUM WEBSITE."

Gail --- "I wanted to thank you for the invaluable service that Celestial Weather provides. I had been looking for something like it for years, and the day I found it was a very good day, indeed!"

Illinora --- "I just want to encourage you to continue your excellent service, which has been of immense personal value to me; I relish the sweeping overviews and the precision of comments on specific planetary contacts. As Gemini with Sagittarian Ascendant (Saturn conjunct) life has been most intriguing of late, not to mention emotionally challenging and I have often half-consciously 'bumped' into your readings with a huge 'aha' and sense of relief. It is that sense of having what is already deeply known and felt verbalised so clearly that defines the function of your words for me. Thank-you!!!"

Leila --- "For two years i have been visiting your site every Sat. evening. What i like is that you write to the multitude that visit celestial weather yet you speak so very individually with each visitor..... i want to thank you for being here tonight"

Kathleen --- Just a note to say how much I appreciate your astrological skills and talents...I like the thought of mercury, Venus and Mars as tools, and if you don't mind, I will incorporate that into my own work. I have referred to them in the past as helpers in our thinking, emotions or ability to take action, but I really like this concept. Your work is a blessing, so keep on keeping on.

Paula --- I rarely write to you, but I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy and look forward to the Celestial Weather each week. This particular week, I wanted to compliment you on the paragraph regarding how astrology should be used. It is because I try to use it this way that I look forward to the Celestial Weather each week, and it is because you put forth your insights so beautifully that I so enjoy reading it. Thank you for putting such clarity of mind into words, and so well! here tonight"

Joy --- Thanks for another ray of sunshine after two nasty hurricanes here in Florida. Keep up the good work!!!

Judith --- Thank you for the head's up on the week, just knowing it will be big is perfect news for me this morning! I am thankful for your insights and excellent interpretations they certainly lend themselves to negotioating through life, especially during these times.
