2005 High Energy Dates and Charts
13-Jan-05 13 Jan shows two groups: at 4 degrees (Mercury, Venus, Moon, and Uranus) and at 23 degrees (Sun, Saturn, and Pluto).  Our sense of who we are is profoundly challenged here.  Something is dying to make way for something new.  The pattern re-focuses on 27 Jan when Mars aligns with Pluto and Mercury-Venus oppose Saturn.  Look for related changes spread over this two week period.

20-Mar-05 On 19 March Mercury stationed retrograde, on 22 March Saturn stations going direct, and on 26 March Pluto stations retrograde.  On this Equinox they are all effectively motionless and at peak energy.  Notice the Moon in the last degree of Cancer opposite Mars in the last degree of Capricorn.  Both are charged as critical, ruling, and exalted.  Coming at the Equinox, this suggests an ending and a beginning as well as more Mercury, Saturn, and Pluto "hard information".

8-Apr-05 Although Mercury continues retrograde and "out of touch" this eclipse New Moon joins with Venus in square to Saturn and flowing link to Pluto.  With Saturn beginning his move to finally leave Cancer, this eclipse should mark a new start and break with the past.  All the energy in this chart ultimately links to Uranus and Neptune in Pisces and Aquarius.  Expect some "future shock" and for many of us it will be a welcome change.

24-Apr-05 Venus rules from her home sign of Taurus in this eclipse.  Money may be an issue that mingles with an opportunity to extend a generous helping hand.  There are two Y patterns in this chart.  Saturn forms the base of a Y with Mars and Pluto (a choice of life or death in some form).  Jupiter forms the base of the other with Uranus and Venus (a chance to open our hearts and pocketbooks in sympathy).  Y patterns mark sharp corners in time and the Full Moon in Scorpio points again at finance and control as issues.

21-Jun-05 Four Cancer planets (Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Saturn) are charged with death/rebirth energy by the Moon joining Pluto.  Mercury and Venus aspect Pluto and Neptune in a Y pattern suggesting that our need for security is sharply challenged by world events.  Jupiter in Libra also needs to expand its sense of justice.  Not a comfortable summer ahead for the U.S. with its Cancer planets under stress.

26-Jun-05 Five days after the Solstice, Mercury and Venus both align with Saturn, all opposing the U.S. Pluto.  2 days later, Mercury and Venus will enter Leo together and move to oppose Neptune on July 12th forming a fire triangle with Mars and Pluto.  This complex process includes a hard choice followed by high energy pushing for expression.  July 12th is a visionary moment that marks Saturn's exit from Cancer briefly grounded by the Virgo Moon.

31-Aug-05 Every planet is connected to at least 1 other planet today.  Sun to Uranus, Moon to Saturn, Mercury to Pluto, Venus to Mars, Jupiter, and Neptune.  A surprise adjustment is required at a socially awkward moment for those touched by this chart.  Mars in Taurus can cling to a dumb idea, think he's right, and refuse to admit error.  Nothing is simple since everything leads to something else.

22-Sep-05 Mars is slowing for his retrograde period and making a sharp and extended contact with Pluto and Jupiter.  This can symbolize out of control situations (Pluto and Mars) in which people are trying to be fair (Jupiter in Libra).  Saturn in Leo gets a shock from Uranus in PIsces at the same time deflating ego balloons.  The harmony between Sun, Mercury, and the Moon supports fluid and clear communication as a remedy.  This fall has zigs and zags.  See also the Solar Eclipse below.

3-Oct-05 Five planets (Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Pluto and a stationary Mars) form a Y pattern called the "finger of God" - guess which finger.  The eclipsing Sun and Moon are part of another "finger of God" pattern with Saturn and Uranus.  This is one of the corners in time when we're faced with unavoidable choices.  All planets, except for Neptune, are involved in these patterns.  Even if this wasn't an eclipse, this is a remarkably intense configuration.  The planets re-focus in ten days when the Sun enters the Mars pattern, and Mercury and Venus connect with Saturn and Uranus.

25-Oct-05 Jupiter and Neptune relate to our religious and social experience.  Today both are changing as Jupiter enters Scorpio for the first time and Neptune stands still to go retrograde.  But this chart also shows unusual sets of pairs: Saturn - Moon, Jupiter - Sun, and Venus - Pluto.  All in place today with the Moon opposite the charged up Neptune.  New cycles of experience are starting.  Venus and Mars make an awkward contact as well.  Oddly, our minds (Mercury) are out of touch.  The abundance of fire and water in this chart represent a "steamy atmosphere."  Jupiter's vision of harmony and balance is being replaced with passion and commitment.

14-Nov-05 Yesterday Mercury stopped and began his 3 week retrograde period, tomorrow Uranus stands still and resumes forward motion.  These two planets are highly charged and symbolize a period of mental ferment.  Too much ferment for some heads that won't stop buzzing with thoughts and ideas.  With Mercury in Sagittarius and Uranus in Pisces, new thoughts have spreading ripples that quickly overlap and interconnect.  Public places can seem like mental party lines.

21-Dec-05 Venus is coming to a stop aligned with Chiron in 3 days in this chart that also features a cross of fixed sign planets: Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune.  A prolonged struggle of philosophies and values is indicated for the next 3 months.  Financial issues may also be involved.  But the Sun - Moon and Mercury - Saturn contacts suggest an underlying drive for practical solutions.  Patience is needed now.  The resolution may be delayed until Venus resumes forward motion in six weeks.
