July 2007
The Week beginning July 25th, 2007
Week as a Whole:
A slow week that highlights the Venus - Saturn – Neptune pattern early on Monday-Tuesday as the Moon moves across from Saturn and Venus and aligns with Neptune. More about expectations, limits, executive power, and boundaries. After the slow-going and disappointments indicated by this pattern, the following days are “ordinary” – that is ordinary days in extraordinary times. This gives us more freedom of choice and control of our energies. There’s time to slow down and take stock. Later in the week, next Sunday, Venus will link with Pluto and the Moon in such a way that we can heal some broken relationships and finally let go of those we’ve clung to for so long. This is an excellent time to have a heart-to-heart with your significant other and share your deep needs and hopes.
Pluto goes to extremes and casual conversation can take a sudden turn into the depths as inner states of mind and feeling are revealed. This is not a time to find your life filled up with casual acquaintances; in fact it’s a good time to walk away from people who, as the saying goes, have “a hand full of gimme and a mouth full of much obliged.” With the Aries Moon moving from Saturn to Venus and then to Pluto over Saturday night, our dreams may hold a message about how and with whom we should spend our time. That’s if we can sleep with all the fire energy of these planets.
Next weekend, Mercury will be coming to a standstill, and he will resume direct motion next Monday ending his three week retrograde period. (The concert memorializing Princess Diana is a classic Mercury Retro example.) Taken together with Venus action, our inner world should command our attention next weekend: how we feel, how we think. Our reactions to people are evolving, our thinking is working its way to new conclusions; but most of this remains below the surface. We feel the changes within but we may not be able to give them words for some time to come. With Mercury in Cancer, we’re trying to think our feelings and feel our thinkings…not a formula for clear commuinications. This focus on our inner world will find final expression in a few weeks when Mercury moves into Virgo…then we’ll know EXACTLY what’s up and who’s who.
The Moon makes her Last Quarter phase Saturday morning (PDT) marking the highpoint of a focus and flow on the “big” world beyond our personal and family lives. We’re seeing results of choices made earlier and the consequences are becoming known. The symbolic conflict is between individual freedom and the constraints caused by past choices and actions. Aries vs. Cancer. Next week, like all periods leading up to a New Moon, is even more about consequences and karma birds coming home to roost.
Daily Forecasts:
Monday 2 July 2007
The Aquarius Moon points the way to a future and encourages non-conformist attitudes. We’re very sure we know what we know this evening as the Moon connects with Jupiter.
Tuesday 3 July 2007
But maybe we don’t know so much as the Moon spends the afternoon ping-ponging between Neptune, Saturn, and Venus. If we hang in there until she goes Void at 11:02pm/2:02am, clarity might break out.
Wednesday 4 July 2007
The Aquarian dispassion has gone and the now-Pisces Moon touches Cancer Mercury and Taurus Mars. Find a place that feels good, listen to your body and its reactions.
Thursday 5 July 2007
More swimming in emotions with the Moon linked with the Sun and then aligned with Uranus. Feelings, suddenly grown powerful, may wave over us today. We may oscillate between tears and indifference for no obvious reason.
Friday 6 July 2007
The Moon has gone Void overnight and enters Aries at 7:57am/10:57am. She moves right along to square Mercury around 1:00pm PDT. The tension between past and family and our sense of freedom may test some of us. All of us are inclined to speak about 10 nanoseconds before thinking.
Saturday 7 July 2007
The Last Quarter Moon comes at 9:54am/12:54pm. The Moon connects Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune throughout the day emphasizing the public or political focus of the Last Quarter phase as she moves into a fire triangle with Venus and Pluto.
Sunday 8 July 2007
Passions reign early today as the Aries Moon links Venus and Pluto between 5:30am/8:30am and 6:00am/9:00am. And then she goes Void. Get up early to catch this energy on the upswing and bring it with you into the day. The Moon is Void until 10:54am/1:54pm when she enters Taurus and thing cool down.
Long Range Forecast:
June 15th – July 10th - Mercury is retrograde and we can expect the usual “blasts from the past”, miscommunications, computers turned Frankensteins, weird weather, and an excellent time to re-start projects involving contracts, words, or organization.
July 28th – September 9th – Venus is retrograde. First impressions are not necessarily valid. Give people a second chance. Don’t make any major purchases unless you like standing in the return line. Use this time to get to know what you need to be happy and at peace.
August 5th, 2007 – Saturn finally completes the contact with Pluto he almost made last December. As reported then, real political progress will finally take off. Much of the fall’s hopes and expectations can begin to be realized.
Long-Long Range Forecast:
Nov 3, 2008 – Saturn makes an opposition to Uranus that echoes the Saturn
– Uranus/Pluto opposition of March 6, 1966.
Ex-hippies take note. On March 4th,
John Lennon was quoted as saying "We're more popular than Jesus now." The revival of Sixties cultural themes begins
now and builds slowly toward the Uranus – Pluto squares beginning in 2012.
April 14, 2009 – March 21, 2010 -
Saturn makes a series of squares to Pluto newly in
Capricorn. The end of
business-as-usual politics. The
nationalistic dinosaurs will enter their twilight times. The transition to organic regional government
will not be smooth…the result may be some corporate feudal mixture.
July 24, 2012 – April 17, 2015 - Uranus in Aries forms his first major hard aspect to Pluto,
a square angle, since they were aligned in the second half of the 1960’s. Hippie dreams may come true when the ecology
and/or petroleum-based economies fail.
Plan to live where there is food and water and you don’t need a
car. Plan to live where you’ll know your
neighbors…maybe even love them. What a
thought! We may have to choose between eating grain on a commune or growing very thin in the city.
