2 April 2007 – 8 April 2007

The Week beginning April 2nd, 2007

Week as a Whole:

This week our sky holds a complex interlinked pattern that includes a Full Moon, a fiery triangle involving the Sun, Jupiter and Saturn, and 3 “Y” patterns that are formed from several planets all passing through the 18-19 degree range of various signs.  The first take away from this is the complexity itself.  Everything seems connected to everything so it’s difficult to isolate and control the variables in any situation.  This suggests that we have less free will than usual and that events already in motion are shaping the present.  In addition, Jupiter and Saturn are both nearly motionless and thus highly energized, but what’s even more significant is that they are almost exactly four signs apart and linked.  Much of the past month of eclipse energy is manifesting at this Full Moon.  All this points to a week of changes and powerful tides flowing through and around our lives.

This Monday the Full Moon is in Libra with a Taurus Venus square both Saturn and Neptune in T-square pattern.  Venus is the energy planet for both Libra and Taurus and her stressful contacts with Saturn and Neptune color the Full Moon. The Saturn – Neptune opposition has be much discussed here and now its issues of illusion and reality, of leader vs. group, of elite vs. the many are being grounded through Venus in Taurus.  It comes down this week to money, power, and resources and who controls them.  Every Libran Full Moon brings the opportunity to review and weigh our relationships and their value to us.  It’s a time for fresh starts and new leaves.  This Full Moon reflects a change in power and perception coming through Venus.  There is a return to core values that comes clear in the midst of spin and inflated language.

Roughly twelve hours later, the Moon has advanced to join six other planets all near the number 18 degree position.  This forms multiple “Y” patterns that are indicative of decision points: places where people must choose between two options and often neither of the options is comfortable.  Starting clockwise from the 9 o’clock position note Jupiter, the Moon, Saturn, then Venus at 4 o’clock and Mercury – Uranus at 6.  Neptune at 21 degrees could also be included.  Both Venus and Mercury are at the apex of Y patterns: Venus with the Moon and Jupiter while Mercury links with the Moon and Saturn.  Both Venus and Mercury are “inner” planets and describe our inside the head reality.  People are “making up their minds” in a big way.

The Libra Moon and Jupiter in Sagittarius both relate to our legal systems of public ethics and law.  Important decisions are being made in this context.  Venus is under pressure in the T-square from leaders feeling pressure (Saturn retrograde in Leo) and from various groups and people with their vision fixed on future consequences (Neptune in Aquarius).  Money is the issue.

Venus remains in this stress as she moves on to square Neptune on Wednesday.  Also on Wednesday Mercury squares Jupiter and Mars links with Pluto.  So it may seem the Full Moon’s charge and high contrast will extend beyond Monday into the week.  Mercury square Jupiter suggests a conflict between fact, suspicion, and the law.  Hidden, Piscean, facts are wiggling in the bright and direct light of Jupiter.  These little fishy facts keep squirting out into view.  Power can shift from the few to the many on the link from Mars to Pluto.

Thursday Jupiter stands still, from Earth’s POV, and begins his four months of retrograde motion.  In two weeks Saturn ends his retrograde period.  They are connected (at 19 and 18 degrees) and both effectively “stationary” and thus highly charged and will be slowly accelerating to make their connection exact next month.  This week the Sun moves into the 18 degree and completes a fire triangle.  This triple pattern is extremely unusual.  It’s unusual for Jupiter and Saturn to be in this relationship…it happens twice in 12-14 years.  It’s very unusual for Jupiter and Saturn to be changing direction within days of each other.  And with the Sun’s involvement, I don’t have the resources to figure when this pattern occurred previously but I would be surprised if several hundred years weren’t required.  The “fire” signs where the Sun, Jupiter, and Saturn are located represent light perhaps even more than heat.  To the ancients, without electricity, light came from fire.  This 3 planet pattern amplifies energy and so all this week we can expect more and more light to be shed on public life.  That is public matters will be illuminated, made clear, and like the “fire” or fire this can spread and grow.

Finally, all the “Y” patterns involve multiple planets making connections from two signs apart.  This is a sign of many opportunities available. These may be masked as problems or hard choices.  And they must be actively chosen to manifest.  New relationships can be formed (Jupiter – Moon); new attitudes developed (Mercury – Venus); diplomatic compromise (Moon – Saturn); followed by new vision (Sun – Neptune).

Daily Forecasts:

Monday 2 April 2007

Our inner life is both agitated and cautious with Venus square Saturn and Mercury aligned with Uranus.  The Full Moon turns up the volume on everything.

Tuesday 3 April 2007

We’re feeling more optimistic today as the Moon links the fire and air pairs until she goes Void at 7:29pm/10:29pm.  She enters Scorpio at 9:36pm/12:36am and the focus shifts to power and who has it.

Wednesday 4 April 2007

Truth and lies and who gets caught today with Mercury square Jupiter, Venus square Neptune, and Mars linked with Pluto.  Not a day to sign contracts or even try to read them carefully.  Bring a shovel with you; it may get deep.  Keep expectations low and try to stay in the present moment.

Thursday 5 April 2007

The growing fire triangle may lead to quick escalation, so be precise and courteous.  Jupiter stands still today and religious and legal matters should be a media theme.  The Scorpio Moon is moving through the T-square making a cross this evening.  Power struggles are peaking.

Friday 6 April 2007

The Moon has been Void overnight and enters Sagittarius at 9:57am/12:57pm.  The morning may be time for rest and healing.  Mars has entered Pisces overnight and assumes his semiannual passive-aggressive mode.  Lead from behind.

Saturday 7 April 2007

Mercury and Venus make friends today and we may make more sense of things and how we feel.  Light bulbs are going off as the Moon joins the fire triangle this evening.  Do something new and don’t get caught in small spaces.

Sunday 8 April 2007

No hiding place ‘round here.  The Moon continues to shine and open minds until she goes Void at 6:35pm/9:35pm.  She enters Capricorn at 8:36pm/11:36pm and maybe we’ll get some sleep.

Long-Long Range Forecast:

Nov 3, 2008 – Saturn makes an opposition to Uranus that echoes the Saturn – Uranus/Pluto opposition of March 6, 1966.  Ex-hippies take note.  On March 4th, John Lennon was quoted as saying "We're more popular than Jesus now."  The revival of Sixties cultural themes begins now and builds slowly toward the Uranus – Pluto squares beginning in 2012.

April 14, 2009 – March 21, 2010 - Saturn makes a series of squares to Pluto newly in Capricorn.  The end of business-as-usual politics.  The nationalistic dinosaurs will enter their twilight times.  The transition to organic regional government will not be smooth…the result may be some corporate feudal mixture.

June 24, 2012 – April 17, 2015 - Uranus in Aries forms his first major hard aspect to Pluto, a square angle, since they were aligned in the second half of the 1960’s.  Hippie dreams may come true when the ecology and/or petroleum-based economies fail.  Plan to live where there is food and water and you don’t need a car.  Plan to live where you’ll know your neighbors…maybe even love them.  What a thought! We may have to choose between eating grain on a commune or growing very thin in the city.
