5 March 2007 – 11 March 2007

The Week beginning March 5th, 2007

Week as a Whole:

This week is filled with good feelings and bright hopes for the future.  Monday’s lineup of the Sun and Uranus top off last weekend’s burst of Eclipse energy.  Then Mercury resumes normal motion on Wednesday and much of what was confusing or clouded begins to clear up.  This is followed by Venus making flowing connections with Jupiter and Saturn such that we feel like a new start is possible by week’s end.  There is abundant fire energy and a strong urge to move on from the Sun – Jupiter square on Friday.  We continue to lack earth energy as we have off and on for many months, but by now we’ve learned to supply the earth energy by deliberately considering resources, timing, and effort.  The edgy “eclipse” feeling will continue as a background theme through the Solar Eclipse on the 18th and for some days beyond, but we’ve passed over the first peak period and we’re looking ahead with hope rather than anxiety.

On Monday the Sun completes his alignment with Uranus.  We will look back on this past weekend as a turning point in consciousness.  The world looks different now because our assumptions have changed and a new consensus is beginning.  This alignment is an annual opportunity to break out of old patterns: both those expectations that people have for us and those expectations we have about ourselves.  Creative breakthroughs are more likely now, and so are outbursts of frustration if we feel trapped in the status quo.

We’ve “survived” another Mercury Retrograde period when we arrive at Wednesday evening.  We can stop focusing on the past and begin to organize our thoughts into a plan for progress.  Mercury will move into the last of a series of three Pluto contacts that have been bringing hidden information to light.  Our minds will remain sharp and extra penetrating through next week’s “super” political Friday.  Some of the lost items will re-appear and ideas will stop crowding the tips of our tongues and actually get spoken.  Information systems will become more stable and less headstrong.

This Thursday Venus links harmoniously with Jupiter and then forms the same type of link with Saturn less than twenty-four hours later.  Together the three planets form a fire triangle around the earth.  This will encourage a feeling of confidence and clarity of purpose.  Legal matters will clarify.  There’s a sense of knowing where one belongs in the world and being “OK” with it.  This comes with a fire-based need for new experience and desire to see what comes next.  We welcome a challenge now rather than feel burdened.

This energy flows into an exceptionally active Friday day that includes the Venus – Saturn contact, followed later by Venus connecting with Neptune and the Sun’s square with Jupiter.  The Scorpio Moon makes four contacts through the day.  Most of the action is done by 8AM/11AM in the morning.  But this is a very busy day.  Often highly active days like this leave us enervated as we try to keep up with the flow.  Plan to rest on Saturday and enjoy the rush while it’s happening.

Next Sunday is the Last Quarter Moon.  This lunar phase typically illuminates consequences stemming from decisions and activities of the previous three weeks.  Sunday afternoon the Moon moves through links with Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune before her Last Quarter phase.  Jupiter and Saturn are political/judicial and Jupiter’s other face looks forward as does Neptune.  We’re all mulling over the direction of our personal lives in context with where our leaders are leading…or not leading.

Daily Forecasts:

Monday 5 March 2007

Although the Sun – Uranus alignment has us a little jumpy…maybe more than a little for some…the Libra Moon has a calming effect.  We’re cool in our heads and able to make friends easily when she connects with Mars in Aquarius this afternoon.

Tuesday 6 March 2007

Mercury’s  near standstill may indicate mentally fuzzy conditions, the Moon is flowing through an early set of the upbeat Venus energy all afternoon.  A good day to build a team rather than make a plan.

Wednesday 7 March 2007

The Moon goes Void at 11:51am/2:51pm and remains so until she enters Scorpio at 2:17pm/5:17pm.  Mercury stands still at 8:45pm/11:45pm.  Don’t expect to accomplish much during the Void period. And don’t make decisions during this period.  This is textbook time to keep a low profile and kick back.  No astrologer would sign or commit today.

Thursday 8 March 2007

We wake up this morning eager to meet the day.  There’s an early Moon – Mars square that needs a physical outlet for its best use.  Thereafter, we’re laser-focused, Scorpio style, on what we want and where we’re going.  Don’t be a nay-sayer today.  Get with the program or say nothing.  People in authority are disposed to listen to new ideas.

Friday 9 March 2007

Take some time to talk with those close to you about the vision of your shared future.  Obstacles that loomed in the past may now have faded or seem easy to handle.  Don’t get trapped in close quarters today with the Sun in square to Jupiter.  Get outside and get to an elevated spot, in your mind if not physically.  Legal matters and judgments should be considered and not swept under the table.  Stick to the big picture.  Take short breaks, it’ll be one of those days when you get home and crash into couch potatoland.  Quit at 5:51pm/8:51pm when the Moon goes Void.

Saturday 10 March 2007

A much quieter day with some intellectual stimulation in mid-morning as the Sagittarian Moon connects with Mars.

Sunday 11 March 2007

Happenings in the public sphere may color today.  Personal energy remains forward looking and upbeat.

Long Range Forecast:

March 3rd, March 18th – The spring eclipse season begins with a Lunar Eclipse on March 3rd to be followed by a Solar Eclipse on the 18th.  All energy levels are elevated during the eclipse periods.  Some of us will have great accomplishments and others will not be able to handle the juice.

April 2nd – A complex of three “Y” patterns forms indicating major decisions are required and a sharp turn taken by those whose personal horoscopes are touched this day.  More on this as the time approaches.  Thanks to astrologer Helga Steffee for pointing this out.

Long-Long Range Forecast:

April 14, 2009 – March 21, 2010 - Saturn makes a series of squares to Pluto newly in Capricorn.  The end of business-as-usual politics.  The nationalistic dinosaurs will enter their twilight times.  The transition to organic regional government will not be smooth…the result may be some corporate feudal mixture.

June 24, 2012 – April 17, 2015 - Uranus in Aries forms his first major hard aspect to Pluto, a square angle, since they were aligned in the second half of the 1960’s.  Hippie dreams may come true when the ecology and/or petroleum-based economies fail.  Plan to live where there is food and water and you don’t need a car.  Plan to live where you’ll know your neighbors…maybe even love them.  What a thought! We may have to choose between eating grain on a commune or growing very thin in the city.
